Program Features:

EyeOP
© consists of seven different components that assist with the management of glaucoma patients, especially for the initial work-up of new patients:

1. RISK FACTORS for glaucoma
·provides a checklist of glaucoma risk factors, with explanations & references  
·data can be saved and/or printed for placement in the patient's paper chart  
2. SCREENING questions for glaucoma drug interactions
·provides a checklist for systemic, eye, and medication conditions, with explanations & references  
·data can be saved and/or printed for placement in the patient's paper chart  
3. IOP CORRECTION to "adjust" Goldmann tonometry for keratometry and corneal thickness
·calculator provides both a single adjustment value as well as a range of adjustment values  
·keypad for efficient data input  
·OHTS (Ocular Hypertension Treatment Study) risk is calculated  
·range of adjusted values can be saved and/or printed for placement in the patient's paper chart  
4. IOP TARGET to provide an initial baseline target pressure for treating a glaucoma patient
·percent reduction from baseline pressure reading is calculated for each eye  
·glaucoma classification reference information is provided  
·target values and classification can be saved and/or printed for chart  
5. TREATMENT ALGORITHM to assist in the choice and timing of glaucoma treatments
·explanations provided for each step  
6. MED REFERENCE of glaucoma medications
·over 40 drugs titles can be sorted by Brand or Class  
·detailed information on each drug, including:  
      -dosing
      -IOP lowering effect
      -onset, peak, and duration
      -mechanism of action
      -bottle cap color
      -bottle (drug volume) sizes available
      -cost per month (based on drops per ml & pricing)
      -preservative
      -"tips" & "other info" for using the drug
      -contraindications & warnings
      -systemic & ocular side effects
7. LASER REFERENCE for glaucoma laser procedures
·detailed information on 6 laser procedures, including:  
      -laser parameters & lenses
      -technique (with color graphics)
